Legal Officer

VHIR is offering two vacant positions for lawyers with experience in various areas of the healthcare sector to join the Legal Unit as officers. This unit is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance in all institutional activities, with a particular focus on biomedical research projects and IP. Some of the other units’ goals include: advising VHIR's scientific community on ongoing legal developments that impact biomedical research and the transfer of results to society; and providing legal guidance to the various services and units within VHIR.

Experience and knowledge:

Required:

At least 4 years of experience working in legal healthcare environment.
Specific knowledge in pharmaceutical and healthcare law and/or previous experience in the field of biomedical research.
Ability to work in teams.
Fluent in Catalan, Spanish and English, both written and oral.

Main responsibilities and duties:

Managing a team in the legal unit.
Prepare and organise meetings with team members and collaborators.
Coordinate legal activities of the team members, including drafting, negotiating, and reviewing contracts and amendments.
Participate in the process of drafting, negotiating and reviewing contracts and amendments.
Legal advice in the field of legal healthcare environment.

Labour conditions:

Full-time position: 40h/week.
Starting date: immediate.
Gross annual salary: Remuneration will depend on experience and skills. Salary ranges are consistent with our Collective Agreement pay scale.
Contract: 2 available positions, Permanent (1) and open-ended contract linked to the project (1).
