Research Technician (Renal Physiopathology Group)
The Renal Physiopathology group at VHIR is looking for a highly motivated Research Technician with proven experience in cellular/molecular techniques and animal mouse models relevant to kidney pathology. The successful candidate will contribute to ongoing research projects on rare renal diseases.
Education and qualifications:
Required:
- Laboratory Technician (CFGS/FPII) or Bachelor’s Degree
- Certificate in Animal Experimentation
- Fluency in Catalan and Spanish
Desired:
- English (business level)
Experience and knowledge:
Required:
- Previous experience in a similar position in an academic or industry research setting
- Hands-on experience working with mouse models
- Proven experience in cellular and molecular procedures
- Strong organizational and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of ethical guidelines and regulatory compliance for animal research
Desired:
- Good communication skills
- Commitment to producing high-quality experimental results
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Main responsibilities and duties:
- Conduct experiments involving mouse models, including handling, breeding, and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of animal care and experimental procedures.
- Ensure compliance with animal welfare regulations.
- Maintain lab stocks and assist with lab maintenance.
- Collect, compile, and analyze data.
- General maintenance of the lab, such as preparing buffers and reagents.
- Assist team members with other experimental procedures involving mainly cell culture and molecular analysis (DNA/RNA handling, qPCR, cloning, protein analysis, etc).
Labour conditions:
- Full-time position: 40h/week.
- Starting date: immediate.
- Gross annual salary: 18.589,05€ – 20.757,77€ Remuneration will depend on experience and skills. Salary ranges are consistent with our Collective Agreement pay scale
- Contract: Technical and scientific activities contract linked to the project activities
