Researcher (Clinical neuroimmunology)
VHIR offers a vacant position for a researcher with a bachelor's and a master's degree within the Clinical Neuroimmunology Group. The Clinical Neuroimmunology Group at the Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR) specialises in clinical care, rehabilitation, and research on multiple sclerosis (MS). It is a national and international reference centre for MS care. The group's research combines clinical and basic studies with a focus on improving patients' quality of life through a deeper understanding of the disease and developing new therapies.
Education and qualifications:
Required:
- BSc in the field of biosciences, medicine, or biology
- MSc in the field of bioinformatics, biostatistics, or data science
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
Experience and knowledge:
Required:
- Experience in biostatistics and bioinformatics, particularly in analyzing “omics” data and computational genomics
Desired:
- Laboratory experience, including basic immunology techniques (ELISA, flow cytometry, etc.)
Main responsibilities and duties:
- Analyse biological data (SNP arrays, transcriptomics, protein biomarkers) using statistical and bioinformatics tools.
- Conduct laboratory experiments for biomarker measurement.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to interpret data and provide insights for ongoing research.
Labour conditions:
- Full-time position: 40h/week
- Starting date: Immediate
- Duration: 36 months
- Gross annual salary: 22.823,22 euros (Salary ranges are consistent with our Collective Agreement pay scale)
