Psychologist (Nephrology and kidney transplantation)
The Nephrology and kidney transplantation Research Group is part of the University Hospital Vall d’Hebron (VHUH) located in Barcelona, a Tertiary referral public center for Catalunya and many other areas of Spain. The HUVH is integrated by a WomenChildren, General, and Trauma-Orthopedics Teaching Hospitals providing a multidisciplinary care involving all pediatric and adult medical and surgical sub-specialties. We also work closely with the Paediatric Urology Service, which is accredited as national reference service for complex urologic surgeries in children and adolescents.
Furthermore, we are part of the Renal Physiopathology Group at the Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR). https://vhir.vallhebron.com/ca/recerca/fisiopatologia-renal. Our research is focused in the field of Inherited Tubulopathies (Dent disease, Familial hypomagnesemia with hypercalciuria nephrocalcinosis), and rare kidney diseases. In the clinical research field, we are fully committed with the development of new therapies in pediatric patients and thus, we participate in several international clinical trials and academic research projects focused on chronic kidney disease in children and rare kidney diseases.
Education and qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology
- Master's Degree in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
- Education in pediatric chronic diseases
- Fluency in Catalan, Spanish, English (business level)
Desired:
- Additional training in Paediatrics
Experience and knowledge:
Required:
- At least 10 years of experience working in Paediatric Hospital
- At least 10 years of experience working in Paediatric Psychology
- At least 10 years of experience working in Research
- At least 5 years of experience working in Paediatric Nephrology
Desired:
- Highly organized and methodical, with strong motivation and initiative
- Excellent communication skills
Main responsibilities and duties:
- Application of validated tools for neuropsychological assessment
- Acting as a specialist in family psychological interventions in paediatric chronic illnesses
- Implementation of tools for bereavement intervention
Labour conditions:
- Part-time position: 20h/week
- Starting date: Immediate
- Gross annual salary: 35.972,19
- Contract: Technical and scientific activities contract linked to the project activities
