Project Consultant and Medical Writer (New technologies and craniofacial microsurgery)
The aim of the group is to research and develop new technologies and treatments in the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery. Our work is structured around three major research lines: Personalized surgery, minimally invasive surgery in maxillofacial cancer, and rare tumours of the maxillofacial area.
Education and qualifications:
Required:
- Degree in Sciences
- Fluency in Catalan, Spanish, English (business level)
Desired:
- Ph.D. in Sciences
- Additional training in Good Clinical Practices for medical research
- Knowledge of other European languages (German, French…)
Experience and knowledge:
Required:
- At least 5 years of experience working in project management in Medicine/Science.
- Knowledge of clinical trial management, medical data management and the peer-review publication system.
- Ability to write, review and provide guidance on scientific articles and grant proposals.
- Specific training in health research methodology and clinical trials.
Desired:
- Knowledge of advanced literature searches and systematic reviews (PRISMA statement, etc.).
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously; attention to detail while focusing on global needs.
Main responsibilities and duties:
- Coordinate medical research projects (both unicentric and multicentric).
- Manage clinical trials, both internally and in cooperation with the Vall d’Hebron Institut d’Oncologia (VHIO).
- Design, maintain and manage the Group’s medical databases; cooperate with statistical services to extract knowledge from data.
- Write, review, and provide guidance on medical articles to be published in peer-reviewed journals.
- Write, review, and provide guidance on national and international grant proposals.
- Write, review, and provide guidance on literature searches and systematic review articles.
- Give support in the coordination of medical education activities.
Labour conditions:
Part-time position: 5 h/week.
Starting date: April
Gross annual salary: 4261,52 € /// (Salary ranges are consistent with our Collective Agreement pay scale).
Contract: Technical and scientific activities contract linked to the project activities.
