Clinical Research Project Manager (Commercial & Contracted Clinical Research (CCCR))
VHIR is seeking a Junior Clinical Research Project Manager to join its CCCR Directorate.
The successful candidate will work as Clinical Trial Project Manager of the Horizon Europe Widera project GIMM-CARE: BOOSTING CLINICAL RESEARCH FOR THE BENEFIT OF SOCIETY. VHIR leads the WP on Training and the PM will give support to the team involved in the project for an excellent execution of project activities. The candidate will also collaborate with the Commercial & Contracted Clinical Research Directorate of VHIR to facilitate and promote high-quality, innovative, and effective clinical research programs that align with the institute´s strategic goals.
Education and qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in life sciences or related fields
- Full proficiency in English
- Good command of Spanish and/or Catalan.
Desired:
- PhD in a life-sciences related field will be highly valued
- Complementary training in project management and/or people development and talent management will be a plus
Experience and knowledge:
Required:
- Proven experience in clinical research activities management and coordination tasks
- Ability to autonomously coordinate project partners and supervise tasks execution in projects of certain complexity
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with ease in dealing with senior international scientists, healthcare professionals and the rest of the team and stakeholders involved in the project
Desired:
- Demonstrated knowledge about physician-scientists career pathway and their opportunities for research training
- Previous experience working as clinical trials or clinical research manager or organizer in health research institutions and/or hospital environments will be a plus
- Good IT skills. Practical experience in survey design and data analysis will also be advantageous
- Strong organizational and planning capacities
- Proactive, results oriented professional with keen attention to detail and with the ability to work under tight deadlines
Main responsibilities and duties:
- Contribute to the GIMM-Care project tasks. Mainly, collaborate in the design, development and implementation tasks to create new training initiatives such as Clinical Trials Training Programme addressed to the staff working at clinical research platforms.
- Coordinate the design, development and implementation tasks to create new training initiatives:
- Clinician-Scientist Training Programme to equip healthcare professionals with the skills and tools for conducting translational biomedical research.
- Clinical Trials Training Programme addressed to the staff working at clinical research platforms.
- Planning, implementation and monitoring of the different tasks of the project’s clinical trials work package.
- Organize and support the logistics associated with the training activities and courses (manage the communication with participants, lecturers and other collaborators, manage the outputs and feedback of each of the courses organized, annual revision of the courses and their contents, etc.).
- Design and perform a training needs assessment to define the target groups and customize the educational content.
- Manage the relationship -both internal and external- with collaborating organizations in the training activities carried out in the project.
- Organize and coordinate the support /SC, DE…) staff and the logistics associated with the clinical research activities upon VHIR portfolio and needs.
- Any other duties related to the job as requested to contribute to the general functioning of the project and the Commercial & Contracted Clinical Research Directorate.
- Due to the fact that the position is aimed at joining a collaborative project with a research institute based on Lisbon, availability to travel is required.
Labour conditions:
- Full-time position: 40h/week.
- Starting date: immediate.
- Gross annual salary: Remuneration will depend on experience and skills. Salary ranges are consistent with our Collective Agreement pay scale.
- Contract: permanent linked to scientific-technical activities (linked to project funding).
