We are looking for a Research Technician to join our animal experimentation team on a part-time basis at the Vall d'Hebron Research Institute. The candidate will focus on developing in vitro studies for osteoarticular pathologies.

Education and qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Genetics
• Training in cell culture techniques
• Certification for research personnel handling animals for experimental and scientific purposes
• Fluency in Catalan, Spanish, and English

Experience and knowledge:

Required:

• Proven experience in preclinical in vitro studies using various cell lines
• Expertise in RNA/DNA extraction, qPCR, Western blotting, and immunocytochemistry
• Experience in cell and tissue sample processing
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams

Desired:

• Ability to contribute to medical research in osteoarticular pathologies
• Ability to carry out scientific research and publish in peer-reviewed journals
• Strong ability to work independently and manage projects autonomously
• Preferred experience in the field of osteoarticular pathologies
• Knowledge of bioengineering and cell therapy for the treatment of osteoarticular pathologies

Main responsibilities and duties:

• Design and organize preclinical in vitro studies using different cell types
• Cell culture studies for osteoarticular cellular models
• Process cell and tissue samples and conduct for RNA/DNA processing, qPCR, western-blot and immunocytochemistry analysis
