Pharmacologist - Project Management (Academic Research Organisation Unit)
VHIR offers a vacant position within its Academic Research Organisation for a Pharmacologist - Project Management in research projects related to the “PLATAFORMAS ISCIII DE APOYO A LA I+D+I EN BIOMEDICINA Y CIENCIAS DE LA SALUD” file number PT23/00062, in accordance with the call “Acción Estratégica en Salud 2021-2023” of 20 July 2023.
Education and qualifications:
Required:
- Degree in Medicine with a specialization in Pharmacology
- Project Management knowledge
- Training in Pharmacovigilance
- A very good command of Catalan and Spanish, and an intermediate to high level of English, both written and spoken
- Access to knowledge of pharmacovigilance databases (EudraVigilance)
Desired:
- Training in monitoring clinical trials
Experience and knowledge:
Required:
- A minimum of 10 years’ proven experience in pharmacology-related activities
- Responsibility and work organisational skills
- Independence and flexibility
- Communication skills and teamwork
- Willingness to travel within the country
Desired:
- Experience in ethical advice related to Clinical Trials
Main responsibilities and duties:
- As a Pharmacovigilance Expert:
- Provide support to investigators during the submission process in questions related to safety.
- Management of AEs, SAEs and SUSARs.
- SUSAR notification.
- Generate documents related to pharmacovigilance, such as the Pharmacovigilance Plan, DSUR, etc.
- Write and adapt documentation for submission to the National Competent Authority (NCA) and Ethics Committee (EC).
- Ensure that all activities comply with quality standards and legal requirements.
- Provide support in other activities carried out by the Unit.
- As a Project Manager:
- Prepare regulatory packages.
- Submission to Ethical Committees and Competent Authorities.
- Site contract management.
- Preparation and maintenance of the trial master files.
- Support the Project Manager and Clinical Research Associate.
- Support and assistance in the preparation and organization of researchers’ meetings.
- Collaboration in the design of specific materials for each trial or study.
- Registration and control of the activities for each project.
- Collaboration in the organization of workshops, seminars and/or courses established by the Unit.
Labour conditions:
- Full-time position: 40h/week
- Starting date: immediate
- Gross annual salary: Salary ranges are consistent with our Collective Agreement pay scale
- Contract:
- Open-ended contract linked to scientific-technical services
