Laboratory Technician (Systemic autoimmune diseases)
VHIR offers a position for a Lab technician within the Systemic Autoimmune Diseases Group to participate in a project that investigates the differential mechanisms of antiphospholipid antibodies in the progress of thrombotic and obstetric antiphospholipid syndrome.
Education and qualifications:
Required:
- CFGS (Advanced Vocational Training) – FP2 Laboratory Technician or equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree in Medicine, Biomedicine or a related discipline
Desired:
- Fluency in Catalan, Spanish and English
Experience and knowledge:
Required:
- Knowledge of Python and R programming languages
- Knowledge of biostatistics
- Experience in data management
- Experience in patient classification
Main responsibilities and duties:
- Managing data of patients with autoimmune diseases
- Handling, processing and storage of biological samples
- Performance of laboratory tasks (i.e. sample preparation, molecular biology and immunology assays such as Western blotting and ELISA, cell culture…)
Labour conditions:
- Part-time position: 30h/week
- Starting date: immediate
- Gross annual salary: 15.600,00 – 15.800,00 euros. Remuneration will depend on experience and skills. Salary ranges are consistent with our Collective Agreement pay scale
- Contract: Technical and scientific activities contract linked to the project activities
