VHIR offers a position for a Lab technician within the Systemic Autoimmune Diseases Group to participate in a project that investigates the differential mechanisms of antiphospholipid antibodies in the progress of thrombotic and obstetric antiphospholipid syndrome.

Education and qualifications:

Required:

• CFGS (Advanced Vocational Training) – FP2 Laboratory Technician or equivalent
• Bachelor’s degree in Medicine, Biomedicine or a related discipline

Desired:

• Fluency in Catalan, Spanish and English

Experience and knowledge:

Required:

• Knowledge of Python and R programming languages
• Knowledge of biostatistics
• Experience in data management
• Experience in patient classification

Main responsibilities and duties:

• Managing data of patients with autoimmune diseases
• Handling, processing and storage of biological samples
• Performance of laboratory tasks (i.e. sample preparation, molecular biology and immunology assays such as Western blotting and ELISA, cell culture…)
