Receptionist/Administrative
USIC
Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR) offers a position of Receptionist/Administrative to the Support Unit for Clinical Research (USIC). USIC provides care support to the development of clinical research within the Vall d'Hebron Campus, both for clinical trials and other research projects, making medical offices, nursing support and a sample processing laboratory available to users.
Education and qualifications:
Required:
- Certificate of Higher Education (CFGS/FPII), preferably within administration area.
- Good written and oral communication skills in Spanish.
Desired:
- Specific training in a laboratory and/or healthcare environment (such as a clinical assistant).
- Good written and oral communication skills in Catalan, and English.
Experience and knowledge:
Required:
- At least one year of experience working in administrative support tasks in receptions or similar.
- Good command of MS Office and other computer tools.
- Experience performing customer service tasks.
- Personal skills: well organized, ability to work responsibly and with excellent interpersonal skills.
Desired:
- Experience in the healthcare sector as a receptionist.
- Experience in hospital environments (contact with medical/researcher staff).
Main responsibilities and duties:
- Give support to patients or people treated at the USIC: scheduling of visits, reception, preparation of visit assistance certificates.
- Provide administrative and logistical support to the nursing staff of the USIC in the organization of care activities: registration and maintenance of the database, printing of scheduled analyses, faxing of electrocardiograms (ECG), telephone contacts for the transport of biological samples, sample shipments to the local laboratory, contact with those responsible for the patients internal transfers, collection of trial medication in the Pharmacy Unit, review and control of material in the care spaces, support in the management of the purchase of material, reception and organization of the material in the spaces of the Unit.
- Give administrative and logistical support to other Units in: office material purchase management, reception and distribution, facility maintenance management and meeting room reservations, …
- Collaborate with ensuring that activities are carried out in accordance with the requirements established in the Unit's quality system procedures, promote and implement continuous improvement in its scope of action.
- Support all those tasks of the area that are entrusted to him/her by the manager.
- Carry out the designated activities in accordance with the established procedures and, where appropriate, participate in their updating.
Labour conditions:
- Part-time position: 35h/week.
- Starting date: immediate.
- Gross annual salary: Remuneration will depend on experience and skills. Salary ranges are consistent with our Collective Agreement pay scale.
- Contract: Temporary-Sick leave
