Medical Doctor (Psychiatry, Mental Health and Addictions Research Group)
The Vall d’Hebron Research Institute (VHIR) offers vacancy/vacant position for a Medical Doctor in the Group of Psychiatry, Mental Health and Addiction.
Education and qualifications:
Required:
- Medical Degree (equivalent to MBBS/MD)
- Completion of specialist training in General Adult Psychiatry
- Postgraduate qualification in clinical research (Master’s or PhD)
- Fluency in Spanish, English (business level)
Experience and knowledge:
Required:
- Experience working in a research environment
- Experience working in research projects
- Experience in medico-legal assessments
- High motivation
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to collaborative multidisciplinary work
- Ability to work autonomously, coordinate with the rest of the team and with the institution
Desired:
- Scientific publications
- Presentations at scientific conferences
Main responsibilities and duties:
- Support the development of new research proposals and contribute to applications for national and European research funding (e.g., Horizon Europe, EU4Health)
- Coordination and management of both ongoing and planned future clinical trials within the department
- Conduct medico-legal assessments and provide expert opinions as required
- Participate in audit, research, and service improvement initiatives related to perinatal mental health
- Assisting in data collection, documentation, and reporting according to protocol.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate trial-related activities.
- Ensuring adherence to ethical standards and safety regulations throughout the trials.
- Participation in the dissemination of the results of research projects
Labour conditions:
- Part-time position: 27h/week.
- Starting date: immediate.
- Gross annual salary: 27.000 euros
- Contract: Technical and scientific activities contract linked to the project activities
