Clinical Nurse (Diabetes and metabolism)
VHIR offers a vacant position for a Clinical Nurse to work in the Diabetes and Metabolism Research Group.
Education and qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing
Desired:
- Master’s in Diabetes and Technology (completed or ongoing)
Experience and knowledge:
Required:
- Experience in diabetes management, with expertise in technologies (insulin pump, insulin pens and continuous glucose monitoring)
- Experience in the insertion and removal of an implantable glucose sensor
- Experience in clinical research and data collection
Main responsibilities and duties:
- Assessment of the prevalence of skin problems related to the sensor or adhesive issues in patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus who use non-implantable continuous glucose monitoring systems (n=200).
- Identification of candidates for implantable technology, training in sensor use, implantation of the glucose monitor, and follow-up of type 1 diabetes patients.
- Collection of clinically relevant data and patient reported outcomes derived from the initiation of the implantable glucose sensor.
Labour conditions:
- Part-time position: 10h/week
- Starting date: immediate
- Gross annual salary: 10.628,00 euros (Salary ranges are consistent with our Collective Agreement pay scale)
- Contract: Technical and scientific activities contract linked to the project activities
- Duration: 1 year
