Research Technician (Cardiovascular Diseases Research Group)
VHIR offers vacancy/vacant positions for a Research Technician of the Cardiovascular Diseases Research Group.
Education and qualifications:
Required:
- Biology, Biomedicine, Biomedical Sciences or Life Sciences Degree.
- Master’s Degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Research or similar.
- Enrolled on a PhD program or intending to enrol in the present year
- Fluent English (written and spoken) is essential.
Experience and knowledge:
Required:
- Experience in cell biology, and general domain of biochemical techniques (RNA extraction, qPCR, Western blot, immunofluorescence.)
Desired:
- Previous experience in aging pathophysiology will be highly valued.
- Technical expertise in the chemistry of AGEs
Main responsibilities and duties:
- Cardiomyocyte isolation
- Fluorescent confocal cell imaging
- Isolation of functionally intact cardiac mitochondria
- Immunofluorescence/histopathology of heart samples.
- ELISA, W. blot and PCR.
Labour conditions:
- Full-time position: 40h/week
- Starting date: immediate
- Gross annual salary: 22.823,22 euros
- Contract: Technical and scientific activities contract linked to the project activities
