Nephrology and Kidney Transplantation Research Group
VHIR offers a vacant position for a Post-doctoral Researcher in Computational Bioinformatics related to transplant immunology for the Nephrology and Kidney Transplantation Research Group and related to the Duacept PERIS grant.
Duacept introduces the development of novel immunomodulatory molecule targeting specific Costimulation receptors aiming at inhibiting and modulating the allo and autoimmune responses. The project aims to establish this molecule and assess its biological properties in the context of different alloimmune settings both in vitro and in vivo and will need comprehensive molecular and immunological analysis to assess the efficacy and specificity of this new therapy.
Education and qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Master’s Degree and PhD in Computational Bioinformatics.
Fluency in Catalan, Spanish and English (business level for oral and writing)
Experience and knowledge:
Required:
Good skills in dissemination activities in science
Knowledge in the field of solid organ transplantation
Main responsibilities and duties:
She or he will be involved in bioinformatics analyses, development of unsupervised cellular and molecular analysis in the context of the treatment of this new therapy as compared to standard of care regimens in distinct biological scenarios.
Labour conditions:
Full-time position: 40h/week.
Starting date: immediate.
Gross annual salary: 25.500-28.000 (Remuneration will depend on experience and skills. Salary ranges are consistent with our Collective Agreement pay scale)
Contract: Technical and scientific activities contract linked to the project activities.
