Communication Technician
The VHIR Communication Unit is part of the Communication, Corporate Strategy, and Citizen Assistance Department of the Vall d’Hebron Barcelona Hospital Campus. Its main objective is to raise awareness of the research carried out at Vall d’Hebron across all areas and in all its forms.
On the one hand, it communicates the institution’s scientific achievements and milestones to the general public through the website, social media, and other media channels. This work includes the production of press releases, press conferences, interviews, videos, communication campaigns, and a wide range of written and audiovisual materials.
On the other hand, the unit ensures internal communication of research activities, publications, and institutional updates to all Campus staff through internal bulletins, the intranet, and social media.
In addition, the unit produces a key institutional tool that annually audits and presents the scientific output of the Vall d’Hebron Research Institute (VHIR), including a multimedia version of the report.
The Communication Unit also plays a vital role in the internationalization of the institution by producing content in English and strengthening ties with international media.
Finally, the unit organizes institutional events such as scientific seminars, workshops, and the annual conference. It also leads science communication and outreach initiatives aimed at bringing research closer to society, including participation in science fairs, open-door events, and other activities designed to engage younger audiences and increase public awareness.
