Clinical Research Technician
VHIR offers a position for a Clinical Research Technician – Study Coordination & Follow-up. This position is part of a coordinated project funded by Fundación Mutua Madrileña. The selected candidate will be responsible for coordinating the activities between participating clinical centres, ensuring that all study procedures are carried out according to the approved protocol and timelines. The role includes supporting clinicians in the execution of study-related tasks, overseeing sample and data flow between centres, performing data organisation and preliminary analysis, and ensuring smooth communication across the entire research team. This position is essential to guarantee consistent study follow-up, high-quality data collection, and the overall success of the clinical project.
Education and qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Science
Fluency in Catalan, Spanish and English (business level)
Desired:
Master’s degree in clinical research or data management
Experience and knowledge:
Required:
High level of autonomy and responsibility with experience working in a multidisciplinary team
Strong organisational and communication skills
Data analysis and interpretation
Advanced Excel skills
Desired:
Experience with biological samples, medical devices or regenerative medicine is valuable
Knowledge of statistics is an advantage
Ability to use clinical data management systems such as REDCap
Knowledge of ISO 14155 and clinical regulations is an advantage
Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
Main responsibilities and duties:
Act as the primary liaison between all participating clinical centres, providing support to clinicians and ensuring consistent communication regarding study timelines, procedures and requirements
Identify and resolve protocol deviations in collaboration with clinical teams.
Oversee accurate and timely data collection from each centre, ensuring data integrity, consistency and completeness before database lock.
Perform preliminary data analysis
Generate interim reports, metrics and summaries for internal review.
Conduct routine monitoring visits (remote or on-site) to ensure quality and compliance.
Support safety reporting processes (SAEs/AEs), ensuring correct documentation and follow-up.
Help solve practical issues related to logistics, sample handling, study workflows or documentation.
Assist with the coordination of study materials, devices or investigational products.
Maintain accurate documentation of study activities, communications and deviations.
Assist in the preparation of final clinical study reports.
Provide feedback from clinical sites to internal teams to support product evaluation and improvement.
Labour conditions:
Part-time position: 23,44h/week
Starting date: immediate
Gross annual salary: 14.266,03 euros (Salary ranges are consistent with our Collective Agreement pay scale)
Contract: Technical and scientific activities contract linked to the project activities
