Optometry Coordinator (Ophtalmology)
Over the past year, the number and complexity of clinical trials in the Ophthalmology Unit at Vall d'Hebron University Hospital have significantly increased, contributing to improved treatment outcomes and quality of life for our patients. This growth requires a well-organised, methodical, and people-oriented individual who is eager to develop a career in this field.
VHIR is seeking to appoint a Clinical Trial Optometry Coordinator. This individual will be responsible for the coordination of a team of clinical trial optometrists, ensuring smooth study execution and high-quality care for participating patients.
Education and qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Optometry
Fluency in Catalan, Spanish and English (professional proficiency)
Desired:
Specialised training in optometrist techniques
Experience in ICS (Institut Catalan de la Salut) Hospital environment
Experience and knowledge:
Required:
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
Experience with SAP management software.
Experience coordinating healthcare teams.
Organisation of schedules and optimisation of resources.
Desired:
Highly organised and methodical, with strong motivation and initiative.
Excellent communication skills.
Supervision of healthcare quality.
Main responsibilities and duties:
Coordination of the clinical research team to ensure research activities comply with federal guidelines and institutional policy.
Ensuring proper training of research personnel to comply with federal guidelines.
Recording and documenting training activities of personnel.
Management of clinical incidents.
Labour conditions:
Part-time position: 12h/week.
Starting date: As soon as possible.
Gross annual salary: 7.500€ (Salary ranges are consistent with our Collective Agreement pay scale).
Contract: Technical and scientific activities contract linked to the project activities.
