Study Coordinator (Neurovascular Diseases)
Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR) is a public sector institution located in Barcelona (Spain) that promotes and undertakes innovative biomedical research at the University Hospital Vall d'Hebron. VHIR is focused on finding solutions to the health problems of citizens, and aims to contribute to scientific, educational, social and economic development within its specialist fields around the world.
The Neurovascular Diseases Group objectives focuses on investigating the causes of stroke and dementia including vascular, primary neurodegenerative and multiple cause, and on developing new therapies for these conditions, whose health impact is very high, given its high prevalence and years of life lost associated with disability. To support and expand these research activities, the group is seeking a Study Coordinator.
Our research is built around the identification of new therapeutic targets for neuroprotection and neurorepair, discovering diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers using biological fluids and neuroimaging; and elucidating the mechanisms of neuronal and vascular damage through preclinical models of stroke, cerebral amyloidosis, and Alzheimer’s disease. In parallel, the group actively participates in in clinical trials in Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative diseases.
Education and qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Sciences/PhD/Master.
Specific training in Neuropsychology.
Fluency in Catalan, Spanish, English (business level).
Desired:
Specific training in clinical trials coordination and /or as psychometric rating in dementia trials will be highly valued.
Experience and knowledge:
Required:
At least 4 years of experience working in research projects/trials in neuroscience.
Knowledge of GCPs, in the context of clinical trials.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Main responsibilities and duties:
Coordinate clinical trials and research projects (documentation, schedule of activities in participants, data entry, etc)
Give support to psychometric ratings.
Collaborate with the clinical staff, CRO, nurse team, etc.…
Prepare and organise monitoring visits.
Labour conditions:
Full-time position: 37,5h/week.
Starting date: March 2026.
Gross annual salary: Remuneration will depend on experience and skills. Salary ranges are consistent with our Collective Agreement pay scale.
Contract: Technical and scientific activities contract linked to the project activities
