Legal & Compliance Officer
VHIR offers a vacant position for a lawyer with experience in areas of data protection to develop tasks as a Legal & Compliance Officer within the Legal Unit and to adapt the Institution’s regulatory compliance. This unit ensures the regulatory compliance in all institutional acts, especially in biomedical research projects and IP Among the goals of this Units are: to ensure the regulatory compliance in all institutional acts, especially in IP and biomedical research projects; give advice to the scientific community at VHIR of the continuous legal developments that affect biomedical research and, therefore, the transfer of results to society; and to the different services and units at VHIR.
Main responsibilities and duties:
Manage the data protection team in the legal unit and its responsibilities.
Prepare and organise meetings with team members and collaborators.
Analyse the status of institutional regulatory compliance.
Draft and implement regulatory plans.
Review internal regulations and procedures.
Prepare and review institutional agreements.
Keep track of action plans and their development.
Coordinate the institutional compliance committee.
Act as a member of the environment committee.

Experience and knowledge:
Required:
At least 8 years of experience working in Data Protection.
Specific knowledge in pharmaceutical and healthcare law and/or previous experience in the field of biomedical research.
Ability to work in teams.
Desirable:
Knowledge of anti-fraud and prevention of money laundering regulations.
Experience in the implementation of regulatory plans.
Labour conditions:
Working hours: Full-time (37,5 hours per week).
Starting date: As soon as possible or Month, Year.
Gross annual salary: Remuneration will be determined by experience, skills and responsibilities and aligned with the Collective Agreement pay scale.
Contract type: Permanent Contract
