Postdoctoral Researcher (Nephrology and Transplantation Research Group)
VHIR is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher with experience in Translational Research Immunology to join the Nephrology and Transplantation Research Group.
Main responsibilities and duties:
Design, perform, and interpret in vitro and in vivo experiments, including immune monitoring and immunofluorescence assays in transplant immunology.
Coordinate with clinicians and research staff for collection and handling of clinical samples.
Contribute to the development and revision of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and laboratory protocols.
Analyse and interpret data, contributing to internal reports, grant applications and scientific publications.
Prepare scientific documents, reports, and grant proposals.
Present and defend research findings at national and international scientific meetings.
Supervise PhD and Master’s students, as well as interns and trainees
Education and qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Biology
Master in Translational Research
Doctorate in Biomedicine
Specialised training in Transplant Immunology
Fluency in Catalan, Spanish and English (professional proficiency)
Accreditation to manipulate experimental animals
Desirable:
Courses in statistics and data analysis
Experience and knowledge:
Required:
At least 6 years’ experience working in Transplant Immunology
Knowledge of multiplex imaging systems
Previous experience in immunofluorescence, basic molecular biology techniques (PCR, Western Blot, ELISA, etc.) and cell cultures
Previous experience in immune monitoring assays such as T-cell and B-cell ELISPOT assay
Expertise in flow cytometry
Lab management skills (analytical, organisational and time management)
Experience in project coordination within research groups
Contribution to scientific publications and conference abstracts
Desirable:
Computer skills for the generation of databases
Previous knowledge in bioinformatics and specific analysis programs (OMIQ, SPSS, Prism, etc.)
Good skills in dissemination activities in science

Labour conditions:
Working hours: Full-time (37,5 hours per week).
Starting date: As soon as possible.
Gross annual salary: Remuneration will be determined by experience, skills and responsibilities and aligned with the Collective Agreement pay scale.
Contract type: Technical and scientific activities contract linked to project activities
