Research Technician (Systemic Diseases Research Group)
VHIR and the Systemic Diseases Research Group is seeking a Research Technician specialised in Immunomediated Diseases to collaborate in the Autoimmunity and Allergy area within the Immunology Laboratory.
Main responsibilities and duties:
Perform and optimise specialised immunological and molecular biology techniques, including ELISA, flow cytometry, Western blot, PCR (qPCR, ddPCR), and cell culture
Conduct autoimmunity and allergy-related assays, such as autoantibody detection and IgE-mediated response analysis
Process, handle, and store biological samples (blood, serum, plasma, tissues) according to established protocols
Analyse, interpret, and accurately record experimental and clinical data using laboratory information systems (LIS)
Support and actively participate in ongoing research projects related to autoimmune and allergic diseases
Contribute to the implementation and validation of new diagnostic and research techniques
Provide technical support and training when required
Participate in continuous improvement of laboratory workflows, protocols
Education and qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Sciences
Fluency in Catalan, Spanish and English.
Desirable:
Additional or specialised training in immunology and genetics.
Technical skills on Immunoprecipitation.
Proficiency in computer tools.
Experience and knowledge:
Required:
Knowledge and experience working with specialised analytical techniques
Ability to work effectively in a team
Strong organisational skills
Good communication skills for interacting with healthcare professionals
Labour conditions:
Working hours: Full-time (37,5 hours per week).
Starting date: As soon as possible.
Gross annual salary: €26,000
Contract type: Technical and scientific activities contract linked to project activities
