Fundraising Officer (Fundraising Unit)
Within the Fundraising Unit at VHIR, we are seeking a Fundraising Officer to cover a maternity leave.
The Fundraising Officer plays a key role in supporting fundraising efforts through the management of solidarity initiatives promoted by families, companies, patient associations, foundations, individuals, and other organisations. The role also serves as a point of contact for researchers, providing guidance on fundraising in line with VHIR’s strategy, and promoting legacy giving as a fundraising channel.
The overall objective is to increase Unit revenue, build donor loyalty, and strengthen relationships with researchers.
Main responsibilities and duties:
Management of solidarity initiatives:
Respond to emails and calls regarding solidarity initiatives, explain procedures and provide support.
Register and track promoters in the database.
Support initiative promoters in implementing their actions and follow up with collaborators.
Coordinate the delivery of support materials for each initiative.
Oversee the closing of initiatives (visits, symbolic cheque presentations, thank-you activities, etc.).
Manage merchandise stock for solidarity events.
Administer the peer-to-peer (P2P) fundraising platform.
Monitoring and Reporting:
Update monthly income indicators.
Support for Researchers:
Monitor collaboration agreements and donations allocated to research projects.
Manage donations assigned to research projects.
Coordinate fundraising communication materials for research groups.
Legacies and bequests:
Act as the Unit’s point of reference for legacy giving.
Respond to enquiries regarding inheritance and legacy donations.
Coordinate activities related to the “Wills for Good” initiative (testimonials, campaign validation, etc.).
Education and qualifications:
Required:
University degree in Marketing, Public Relations or Social Sciences
Fluency in Catalan and Spanish
Desirable:
Specialised training in fundraising/philanthropy
Professional level of English
Experience and knowledge:
Required:
Experience in fundraising project and/or marketing departments
Desirable:
Previous experience in the non-profit sector
Experience managing solidarity initiatives
Labour conditions:
Working hours: Full-time (37,5 hours per week).
Starting date: As soon as possible.
Gross annual salary: Remuneration will be determined by experience, skills and responsibilities and aligned with the Collective Agreement pay scale.
Contract type: Temporary contract (maternity leave cover)
