Clinical Research Project Officer
The Academic and Commercial Clinical Research Directorate at Vall d’Hebron Institute of Research (VHIR) supports the clinical research community at Vall d’Hebron Campus throughout the entire lifecycle of clinical studies. This Directorate assists clinical research teams at Vall d’Hebron University Hospital (HUVH) participating in clinical research initiatives and provides support to companies interested in initiating clinical trials at HUVH.
As part of its clinical research mission, the Directorate actively engages in strategic initiatives such as the European GIMM‑CARE project. To further strengthen the management and coordination of these activities, we are seeking a highly motivated Clinical Research Project Officer to join our team.
Main responsibilities and duties:
Coordinate and implement the activities related to the GIMM-CARE project including:
o Coordinate and manage GIMM‑CARE activities specifically related to the Clinical Research area, ensuring alignment with the Directorate’s scope and priorities.
o Provide support and coordination for other GIMM‑CARE work packages and collaborative activities, in close interaction with internal teams and external partners.
o Ensure overall alignment with project objectives, timelines and reporting requirements.
Coordinate institutional, national and international clinical research projects when required, ensuring effective execution and traceability.
Act as a transversal liaison between clinical research teams, VHIR and stakeholders.
Coordinate and attend relevant transversal meetings with internal and external collaborators.
Provide operational and administrative support to the Clinical Research Directorate leadership.
Support the implementation, optimisation and governance of clinical research management systems (e.g. CTMS, SAP, ASSCLI).
Contribute to the continuous improvement of transversal clinical research processes across Vall d’Hebron Campus.
Education and qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Health/Life Sciences.
Master´s degree in Clinical Research or Biomedical Sciences.
Fluency in Catalan, Spanish and English (professional proficiency).
Desirable:
Master´s degree in Clinical Trials Management.
Master´s degree in Team Management.
Experience and knowledge:
Required:
At least 2 years of professional experience working in healthcare or clinical research environments.
Solid knowledge of clinical research methodology and clinical trial processes.
Previous experience in European or externally funded projects.
Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, enabling productive collaboration with multidisciplinary and cross‑functional teams.
Desirable:
Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice.
Knowledge of clinical research information systems and tools, such as CTMS and Electronic Health Records.
Labour conditions:
Working hours: Full-time (37,5 hours per week).
Starting date: As soon as possible.
Gross annual salary: Remuneration will be determined by experience, skills and responsibilities and aligned with the Collective Agreement pay scale.
Contract type: Technical and scientific activities contract linked to project activities (until April 30th, 2029).
