Psychologist (Psychiatry, Mental Health and Addictions)
The Vall d’Hebron Research Institute (VHIR) offers a vacant position for a psychologist in the Research Group of Psychiatry, Mental Health and Addiction.
Main responsibilities and duties:
Active participation in research projects in psychiatry.
Management of both ongoing and planned future clinical trials within the department.
Assisting in data collection, documentation, and reporting according to protocol.
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate trial-related activities.
Ensuring adherence to ethical standards and safety regulations throughout the trials.
Participation in the dissemination of the results of research projects.
Education and qualifications:
Required:
Degree in Psychology.
Master's degree in Clinical Psychology, Neuropsychology, Health Psychology, Mental Health, or related discipline.
Ongoing or completed PhD in Psychology, Psychiatry, Neuroscience, Mental Health, or a related field.
Fluency in English (written and spoken).
Desirable:
Specific training in Clinical Neuropsychology, Psychiatry, Mental Health Research, or related areas.
Experience in international academic or research environments.
Additional training in research methodology, epidemiology, biostatistics, or data science.
Experience and knowledge:
Required:
At least 3 year’ experience working in clinical or mental health research.
Experience in participant recruitment and data collection in research studies.
Experience conducting clinical interviews and/or psychological assessments.
Experience in research data management and statistical analysis.
Experience contributing to scientific publications and dissemination of research findings.
Ability to work independently while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
Strong organisational and project management skills.
Desirable:
Experience working with psychiatric populations (e.g., depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorders, ADHD, or related conditions).
Experience in longitudinal cohort studies or observational clinical research.
Experience with digital health technologies, biomarkers, or artificial intelligence applied to mental health.
Knowledge of advanced statistical methods and data analysis software (e.g., R, SPSS, Stata).
Experience in grant applications, scientific reporting, or project coordination.
Previous experience in international collaborative research projects.
Labour conditions:
Working hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week).
Starting date: As soon as possible.
Gross annual salary: Remuneration will be determined by experience, skills and responsibilities and aligned with the Collective Agreement pay scale.
Contract type: Technical and scientific activities contract linked to project activities.
