Study Coordinator (Neurodegenerative Diseases Group)
VHIR is seeking a Study Coordinator to join the Neurodegenerative Diseases Group. The research conducted in our group is geared toward elucidating the cause and molecular mechanisms of neurodegeneration in Parkinson's disease (PD), a disabling, currently incurable common neurodegenerative disorder. To this end, we perform clinical and pre-clinical translational research in both PD patients and in human-relevant experimental in vitro and in vivo PD-related models.
Main responsibilities and duties:
Data entry for phases I, II, III and IV clinical trials and research projects in Neurodegenerative Diseases.
Keep up-to-date clinical data from source documents into the CRFs.
Answer queries and give quick feedback to sponsor and clinical team.
Give support to the clinical team and the Clinical Trial Coordination Unit.
Assist the research team in the tasks necessary for the development of studies.
Attend site monitoring visits, review and resolve queries in accordance to GCP.
Write projects in collaboration with de physician and technician teams that might help the improvement of the quality of life of patients with Neurodegenerative Diseases
Education and qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor Science degree (Biotechnology, Biology, Biochemist, Pharmacy, Nurse, or other science bachelor degree).
Good communication skills and high fluency in written and spoken English.
Computer user level (Office package, mail).
Desirable:
Training in good clinical practice and clinical trials methodology is desired
Experience and knowledge:
Required:
Experience in clinical trials
Ability to work with new information and communication technologies (e.g APPs, wearable devices, remote monitoring).
Organised and methodical person with high motivation and initiative.
Ability to respond quickly and effectively to time-sensitive requests from the team and sponsor.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Desirable:
Experience with SAP management program
Knowledge of statistical packages such as SPSS, Stata, R and other databases
Papers, articles, abstract submissions to national or international congresses or impact factor journals will be highly evaluated.
Labour conditions:
Working hours: Full-time (37,5 hours per week).
Starting date: As soon as possible.
Gross annual salary: €23,393.80 - €28,000.00 Remuneration will be determined by experience, skills and responsibilities and aligned with the Collective Agreement pay scale
Contract type: Technical and scientific activities contract linked to project activities
